You have kept this country safe for 2,687 days, and I for one am beyond grateful.
Thank you for your commitment and determination to keep America safe.

You may see other day counters out there counting until January 20th, 2009. But this is the only day counter that matters.

The new Girl in my Life

I bought a new computer yesterday. A nice HP desktop with dual core processor, 3gb ram, and it runs with the beautiful new Windows Vista. Vista has some really cool features, and they all look great on the 19" monitor. My dsl is screaming fast again, I am shocked how slow it got on my old girl, she was a 7 year old Gateway. It's good to be back on the net after she faded out of existance last weekend. She was good to me and I'm gonna miss her. At least until I gut her(to protect my financial records) and scrap the old case.

Man that is a load off my mind.

_______________________________________
If anyone can help me, please, I need to figure this out severely!!

Windows XP Home Edition
I got locked out of my administrator account. I have no idea what the password is.
The XP disc I have is not compatible with the version on my computer.
I tried to go through the safe mode, couldn't get that to work either.

Reunion

Since I haven't posted in a month, nothing like a great episode of Smallville to ponder about.

I think this was DeKnight's best script so far. Run, Mortal, Splinter, & Zod were darn good, but this was riveting the entire hour.
The scenes with Clark and Oliver are so much fun to watch I am already bummed his run will be so short. I think they work together better than Clark and Prof Fine did, and this seasons work is still young.

They're killing me with this Lionel ambiguity. Since his full arc probably won't be played out until the second part of the season it's brutal not knowing what the deal is.

Clark's reactions to Lois and Ollie's relationship, Chloe and Jimmy's relationship, and Chloe eyeing Oliver, are all perfect. Jealous isn't worn well on Clark, neither is envy, so I Couldn't be happier with his expressions.

Best episode of the season to date. 5/5

My Jury Duty Experience

How I earned 6 dollars in 8 hours.

After a bit of trouble, I found the Juror Parking Lot.

Took the 5 minute bus ride to the Court House. Luckily there were more people that new where to go than those of us who didn't, so the two block walk was easy enough.

It took about an hour for the Jury supervisor to tell us about the process. I was in the third group called, there were still a couple hundred people that still had to get their assignments.

I was in a group of 50 people for a District Criminal case. We were given instructions by the bailiff, then took our seats in the court room where we then filled out a questionnaire. The Q was broad: questions about specific interactions with the law, favorite tv shows, things you like to read etc... We were given a 2 hour break so the lawyers could go over our Q's to prepare questions they had for us when we came back.

The District Attorney spent about an hour and a half going over what the specific crime was in the trial, asking general questions to the pool of people, and telling us it was his duty to prove that the defendant was the guilty party. Then a 15 minute break before the defense attorney had his time with us.

The Defense attorney was fairly quick with us, only an hour or so. He had more direct interaction with the pool, making sure we would be good jurors for someone who was going to appear fairly guilty. Then a 15 minute break was announced so they could make their final decisions, it turned into about a 40 minute break tough.

Cut time. The judge started calling names. The three guys sitting next to me were called. But not me.

I actually wanted to get called, sounded like a very interesting experience. Next time maybe.
